A downloadable game

Starfreighter is a procgen-heavy narrative game. As the freelancing captain of a small starship (the titular starfreighter), you have to take on a variety of odd jobs in order to eke out a living in space.

I originally developed the current prototype in summer 2017. You can play it here.

I also gave a talk about some of the ideas behind Starfreighter, and how I want to build it out more in the future, at the Roguelike Celebration in November 2017. Both a video of the talk and my slides are available online.

I'm not sure when I'll get around to developing the game further, but in the meantime, I've decided to go ahead and put up the current build so people can start playing with it. Enjoy!

Really intrigued by the idea of using storylets to create a game. Do you have any good references to learn about building with storylets?

There is a really potential game behind this.  I played a couple of times and lived out there by more than a year with my crew exploring & trading. It'll be a great space DF
